Looked uncharacteristically subdued for much of the Grand rix while stuck staring at the back of Gasly's rear wing. Once in clean air, he lit up the timing screens, culminating in a dramatic last-lap grass-skipping overtake on Piastri to snatch fourth.
Max Verstappen, Red Bull (P3) – 9/10
Another masterclass in overachieving. Despite an engine that lacked straight-line punch, Verstappen used every trick in the book - and clever battery deployment-to drag his Red Bull onto the podium and keep the charging McLarens behind him.
