A poor race for Massa, who was on the back foot immediately after stopping too short from his grid slot and receiving a time penalty - an error he admits may have been a result of the emotional tribute to Jules Bianchi on the grid. The penalty dropped him behind a number of cars and he was slow on the mediums, never threatening points from then on.
