Tough to argue with Hamilton's performance until lights out as he dominated practice and qualifying, take pole by over half a second. It all unravelled from then on, however, with the poor getaway being following by a misjudgement at the chicane which dropped him to tenth. Wholly to blame for hitting Ricciardo at Turn 1, Hamilton's race spiralled out of control but he was far from the only one and still extended his championship lead.
