Once again, Silverstone delivered a race for the ages, with all of the ingredients for a classic that will be remembered for years to come. There was changeable weather, incidents up and down the field and brilliant racing action throughout. A British driver won at his home Grand Prix, but all eyes were on another driver who finally removed his name from an unwanted record. Here are F1i’s Driver Ratings for the 2025 British Grand Prix.

Franco Colapinto, Alpine (Did Not Start) no rating

Despite the huge amount of support that Colapinto received from his Argentine fans and even within the Alpine team when he replaced Doohan, his career looks more under threat than ever before. It was a disastrous weekend for the young driver, who crashed out in Q1, started from last and stalled in the pitlane with gearbox issues after the formation lap, subsequently retiring from the race. Literally nothing went well for Colapinto which is why he gets the lowest rating possible from us.

Liam Lawson, Racing Bulls (Retired, lap 1) 3/10

A few words of encouragement on the grid from one Nigel Mansell were sadly of little help to Lawson. An unfortunate racing incident on the opening lap cut the Kiwi's Grand Prix short. It wasn’t his fault nor anyone else’s, simply three cars typically don’t fit through the Aintree corner. He was quick to blame Ocon for his spin, but once he looked back at the replays we’re sure he retracted his statement.
