Charles Leclerc, Ferrari (P14) 4/10
Leclerc’s weekend at Silverstone was somewhat reminiscent of Felipe Massa’s dismal running at the 2008 British Grand Prix. Both were in a Ferrari, both suffered numerous spins and off-track excursions, and both seemingly had no confidence behind the wheel in treacherous wet conditions. It was odd seeing the Monegasque so out of tune of his car, and to see Hamilton completely outclass him. A weekend to forget for Ferrari’s golden boy, no doubt.

Esteban Ocon, Haas (P13) 5/10
Ocon briefly found himself in fifth position during the Grand Prix, although this was not really representative of his actual positioning in the race. Still on worn intermediate tyres, the Frenchman was bound to drop outside the top ten once he came in for fresh rubber. This he did, but he had a chance of climbing back up into a points-paying position were it not for a clash with his teammate in the closing stages of the race. That’s racing.
