F1i Driver Ratings for the 2025 British GP

Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes (Retired, lap 24) 4/10

Starting from P10 after a three-place grid penalty from his collision with Verstappen in Austria, Antonelli was determined to make amends in Britain. Unfortunately, the Italian teenager’s run of poor luck continued as he was rear-ended by Hadjar on the 18th tour of the Grand Prix. He tried to continue for a number of laps, but the damage to his rear aerodynamic structure proved too much to continue. That’s four retirements in six races for the rookie, not ideal after a promising start to the season.

Yuki Tsunoda, Red Bull (P15) 2/10

It’s still difficult to rate the second Red Bull driver, because we can’t say for sure just how bad (or good) the RB21 is in the hands of anyone other than Verstappen. Tsunoda did better in Qualifying this time round, making it out of Q1. But the Japanese driver followed it up by being absolutely nowhere in the race, being the only lapped driver come the chequered flag. To add insult to injury, he received a ten-second time penalty for sending Bearman into a spin after the second Safety Car restart. This was a terrible race for Tsunoda, regardless of the car beneath him.
