F1i Driver Ratings for the 2025 British GP

Pierre Gasly, Alpine (P6) 8/10

Gasly was somehow able to muscle that dog of an Alpine into the top ten on Saturday, from which he was expected to drop on Sunday. Instead, the Frenchman quietly climbed up to sixth after changeable weather and two Safety Cars, and defended valiantly against the faster Russell and Hamilton for most of the race. He even pipped Stroll to sixth on the final lap of the Grand Prix to secure eight valuable points for himself and more importantly Alpine, who are still last in the Constructors’ Standings.

Max Verstappen, Red Bull (P5) 7/10

What a lap from Verstappen to claim pole; where everyone else faltered he delivered a faultless lap to start at the head of the field. But it wasn’t long before the Dutchman conceded positions to the faster McLarens, and a spin on the second Safety Car restart relegated him to P10. For a number of laps the defending Champion remained bogged down amidst slower cars, but once he got some clear air he made amends for his earlier mistake by easing past the likes of Gasly and Stroll to finish in fifth.
