F1i Driver Ratings for the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix

George Russell, Mercedes (DNF) – 7.5/10

Russell looked set to collect a comfortable podium behind his teammate until his Mercedes power unit let out a plume of smoke on lap 51. While the mechanical failure was out of his hands, his overall weekend was shadowed by a subdued qualifying effort that saw him outpaced by Antonelli. He drove smoothly during the race, but missed out on the big points. His title hopes are now in tatters.

Sergio Perez, Cadillac (P19) – 5/10

Perez played his cards right early on by abandoning slicks for intermediate rubber as the rain arrived, briefly vaulting up the running order. Unfortunately, the Cadillac lacks the raw speed to stay up front once conditions normalize, and Checo steadily drifted back down the order to finish second-to-last of the running cars. A clean, uninspiring afternoon.
