Fernando Alonso, Aston Martin (P8) – 9/10
Pure veteran wizardry à la Fernando. Alonso dragged a draggy Aston Martin into Q2, then put on a clinic on Sunday. He braved the slick-tyre gamble, survived chaotic Safety Car restarts, and held off a train of faster cars behind him with defensive driving of the highest order. Scoring points in this machinery is a minor miracle. A timeless performance.

Liam Lawson, Racing Bulls (P7) – 8.5/10
Lawson was outstanding from start to finish. After overcoming a complete radio failure on the formation lap, he launched off the line at blistering speed to immediately battle with Verstappen into Turn 1. His race pace on intermediates was superb, and he managed his stints with clinical precision. A punchy, flawless drive that yielded big points for Racing Bulls.
