F1i Driver Ratings for the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix

Gabriel Bortoleto, Audi (P18) – 3.5/10

After an eye-catching Q3 appearance on Saturday, Bortoleto's race was ruined by overambition. Clinging to slick tyres on a damp track, he lunged down the inside of Sainz at Turn 2, locked up on a wet patch, and torpedoed the Williams. The resulting front-wing damage and pit stop consigned him to the back. Bright on Saturday, untypically reckless on Sunday.

Carlos Sainz, Williams (P17) – 5.5/10

Sainz executed a tidy start and was well-positioned inside the top ten on intermediates before being wiped out by Bortoleto’s misjudged divebomb. The spin left him with floor damage and dropped him down the order. From there, a sluggish Williams pit crew and a lack of straight-line speed on a drying track ended any hope of a comeback. Unlucky, but powerless.
