Hülkenberg showed solid mid-pack rhythm for extended periods, but his entire afternoon was tarnished by a torpedo moment at the restart. Punting Bearman out of the race cost him dearly in penalties and track position, rendering Audi's underlying pace totally useless.
Oscar Piastri, McLaren (P13) – 5/10
A thoroughly clumsy outing from the Australian. After recovering ground efficiently early on, Piastri lost his patience trying to clear Lindblad, initiating a clumsy wheel-to-wheel bump that triggered a deserved steward's penalty. It completely unspooled his race, leaving him far removed from the points.
