Yet again bested by Verstappen in qualifying, the Honey Badger probably owed his podium to the safety car period that obliterated the gaps and Kimi’s penalty. But it was also due to his daring, super late braking at the outside of Combes, at three abreast, after the re-start. His sixth podium solidifies his fourth place in the standings.
