Fernando Alonso - 11th place: 8/10
While he failed to score, Alonso would have finished ahead of Button in sixth place but for a power unit issue. Revelling in conditions which somewhat negated the lack of performance from the Honda engine, Alonso recovered from a spin at the start when hit by Felipe Massa and even pulled off overtaking moves in the fight for points as he passed both Maldonado and Sainz on track. At least one point would have been some reward, but was helpless as Ricciardo took tenth on the final lap.
