Sergio Perez, Cadillac (P14) – 6.5/10
Starting from the back row of the grid, the Mexican put together a highly spirited recovery drive that deserved more than a scoreless finish. He relished the wheel-to-wheel combat, stubbornly defending against quicker cars and maximizing the Cadillac’s limited package. His post-race optimism regarding their tyre management suggests a breakthrough is coming, even if the history books will look entirely unremarkable.

Esteban Ocon, Haas (P13) – 6/10
An opening lap masterclass saw him rocket from seventeenth up into points contention, reminding everyone of his sharp racing instincts. Unfortunately, his hard work was utterly incinerated by a disastrous sixteen-second pit stop nightmare. With his tyres thoroughly degraded and his strategic options ruined, he became a sitting duck. A brilliant recovery effort completely undone by forces outside of his control.
