Lando Norris, McLaren (P4) – 6.5/10
A deeply frustrating home weekend for the Briton. After a promising qualifying session, he instantly went backward at the start, setting a bleak tone for an afternoon of damage limitation. His McLaren looked incredibly stubborn and difficult to rotate through the corners, but that cannot entirely excuse his lack of sharpness when the lights went out. A solid points haul, but missing any real spark. Blame the car.

Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari (P3) – 7/10
A self-inflicted jump start instantly put the veteran on the back foot, leading to a deserved time penalty. Struggling with chronic understeer during his opening stint, he fought back valiantly against Russell and Verstappen in a battle dictated by battery management. A late strategy blunder by Ferrari under the Safety Car cost him second place, saving him from harsher criticism today.
