Lewis gets an average score after salvaging six points from P13 on the grid, and because he would’ve advanced to Q3 if not for Vandoorne’s crash. Still, for the second time already this season, Hamilton was at a loss to understand the behaviour of his car, while Bottas came within .045s of the pole. Good strategy saw him pick up a few points, but he is now 25 adrift of Vettel.
