A stunning drive from the Australian who arguably was the driver of the day in our book. His overtake on Norris into Turn 9 was breathtaking and he led a significant portion of the race. He played the perfect team game while also proving his own elite status. Only Verstappen's relentless pace and fresher tyres denied him the win in what will remain a breakout season for the Aussie.
Max Verstappen – Red Bull (P1) 10/10
A statement victory from the deposed champion. Verstappen was flawless, converting pole into a dominant win. He managed the race perfectly, extended his stints, and hunted down Piastri with ruthless efficiency. He won the battle today, taking his 8th win of the season, but lost the war by just two points. A reminder to the world that he isn't going anywhere.
