F1i Driver Ratings for the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Fernando Alonso – Aston Martin (P6) 8/10

F1's veteran magician pulled another rabbit out of the hat. Alonso wrestled the Aston Martin to a position it probably didn't deserve, finishing P6 - an outcome that likely defied the laws of physics and the capabilities of the chassis. He capitalized instantly on Russell's poor start and used all his guile to hold off Ocon. It was a classic Alonso performance: aggressive, calculated, and extracting 110% from the machinery. Just imagine what he could do in a car that actually belonged there.

George Russell – Mercedes (P5) 7/10

Russell recovered well from a "terrible" start where he dropped to P6. He showed good pace to pass Alonso but couldn't bridge the gap to the Ferraris and McLarens ahead. It was a somewhat lonely race for him in no-man's land, but P5 was likely the maximum the Mercedes had today. A solid drive, but he’ll be frustrated not to have been in the podium mix.
