A chaotic afternoon in Montmelo turned the 2026 form book on its head. From strategic masterclasses and vintage wheel-to-wheel triumphs at the front to podium heartbreaks and freak mechanical retirements farther down the field, Sunday’s Grand Prix had it all. Here is how we rated each driver’s performance in the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.

Lance Stroll, Aston Martin (DNF) – NA/10

An absolute ghost of a weekend for the Canadian, though he did secure a rare Saturday victory by out-qualifying his legendary teammate. Sadly, his Sunday joy lasted only a handful of laps before his gearbox decided it had seen enough. Hard to rate a race that barely started, through no real fault of his own.

Valtteri Bottas, Kick Sauber (DNF) – NA/10

After a brake failure disrupted his practice on Saturday, Sunday brought more technical gremlins. The team pulled him into the garage after just 15 laps as a "precautionary" measure. Much like his teammate's day, it was far too brief to fairly critique, allowing Bottas to escape the scorer's pad this weekend.
