Made fewer mistakes than his team-mate on race day after being hampered in qualifying, but Raikkonen was still largely to blame for his retirement. Starting from the back of the grid, Raikkonen made good progress on the medium tyres to be in the points after the leading cars had pit, but then came together with Bottas. Having defended the inside of Turn 4, Raikkonen must have known Bottas was still on his outside but left no room at Turn 5 and the resulting contact ended his own race.
