Max Verstappen (P1, 25 pts): 9.5/10
Had he become the youngest pole winner in F1 history, Max would have received a perfect 10. In a league of his own throughout free-practice, he thought he had done enough only to see Ricciardo take P1 for a scant 0.026s. To say he was not pleased would be a massive the understatement. After a long sleepless night, he returned to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez with the bit between his teeth. He got off the line better than Daniel and kept Hamilton at bay at turn one, and that was practically his day done and dusted. Max blazed his way to his second Mexican triumph on the bounce, despite having to turn down the power late in the going after his team mate's.
