The bad luck continues for Danny Ric who has now retired from half of the races he has started in the past 12 months. This 8th DNF of the season ruined what could’ve been a Red Bull one-two finish. He took the pole for a blink-of-an-eye 0.026s, which didn’t sit well with his team mate. The “Honey Badger” doesn’t know why he got a subpar launch off the line. A hydraulic failure led to his retirement later on Sunday. The always affable Aussie now just wants to be done with it all. He earned his points in our book however, for his Saturday barn burner lap and his pace on race day old tyres.
