Despite an unforced error that messed up his final attempt in Q1, Lance out-paced his Russian garage neighbour. In contrast to Sirotkin, Stroll went with a two-stop plan and brought it home just ahead of the other Williams, and was better than the two Haas’ on merit but came up ten seconds and two spots short of scoring a point in a tightly bunched mid-field.
