Daniel Ricciardo - 11th place - 7/10
You have to feel for Ricciardo, who had the opportunity to test the upgraded Renault power unit this weekend at the cost of a ten-place grid penalty. Having qualified ninth, when asked if the penalty was worth it Ricciardo admitted it wasn't in terms of performance, but at least for peace of mind Red Bull now knows the power unit is no better. Christian Horner said the new spec is actually 0.15s slower per lap than the old Renault, and Ricciardo had an almost impossible task to try and climb back in to the points. Went for an aggressive two-stop strategy which failed, and ended up three-stopping like those around him, preventing any meaningful progress.
