Romain Grosjean - 8th place, 4 points - 7.5/10
An emotional weekend for Grosjean yielded probably a better result than he could have expected at the end of it. Made two mistakes in Q2 on Saturday, the second a spin which saw him eliminated in 15th place when he was targeting the top ten. A strong drive saw Grosjean climb through the field, pulling an opportunist move around the outside of Sergio Perez at Turn 3 before later passing Max Verstappen in to Turn 1. Finishing ninth on the road before Massa’s exclusion from eighth place, Grosjean deserves credit for the way he kept his head following the attacks on Paris on Friday and the minute’s silence on the grid, which angered him as it was designed for a Jean Todt road safety campaign.
