Nico Hulkenberg - 6th place, 8 points - 8.5/10

Another team celebrating at the end of the race at Interlagos was Force India, with Hulkenberg’s sixth place securing fifth in the constructors’ championship for the team. Hulkenberg has a special relationship with the Autodromo Carlos Pace, having taken his only pole position to date here in 2010 and led the race for long periods in 2012. His qualifying performance set up his weekend, starting from fifth place with an excellent lap. His target was to hold on to that but he was powerless to stop Bottas flying past on the run to Turn 1. Will have been disappointed with his start as Daniil Kvyat also got through, but was faultless in the race to jump the Red Bull at the first pit stops by stopping early and still making a two-stop strategy work.
