Jenson Button - 15th place - 7/10
Button was hurt by bad luck and a bad strategy call which probably leaves McLaren looking less competitive than it really is. Running just outside the top 10 early on, Button pitted a few laps before the red flag so failed to profit, and then McLaren fitted supersofts for the restart which did not pay off. Having to switch to mediums more than halfway through the race, Button had then lost track position and didn’t have the performance to overtake.
