Pascal Wehrlein - 16th place - 8/10
Hardly a standout result on the face of it but there were some very encouraging signs from Wehrlein on debut. The Mercedes protege made an excellent start and ran in the midfield throughout the first stint, delivering consistently quick times to keep up with Palmer ahead of him. Unfortunately after the red flag Wehrlein started to go backwards, but his final margin to the rest of the field was not helped by waiting until lap 32 to finally put on the medium tyre.
