AERODYNAMICS STILL THE NAME OF THE GAME AT RED BULL

Adrian Newey might have scaled down his F1 involvement; the Red Bull design office continues to live by the design guru’s mantra of giving priority to the chassis over what is in it. As shown on the images above, Max Verstappen’s Spanish Grand Prix-winning RB12 houses a lot of components beneath its tight sidepods: three-phase electric cables (in orange), the ECU, telemetry boxes, high-hydraulic pressure cables (in green), etc.

Finally, it’s worth mentioning that Manor introduced a new front wing with new turning vanes and revised endplates, while other upgrades were testing during the post-race Barcelona test. These shall be reviewed in another technical gallery.
