Some really encouraging signs from Haryanto who has been showing up well against Wehrlein recently. Having been quick in practice was the lead Manor in qualifying and very nearly made it through to Q2. Tends to go backwards at the start but on this occasion was blameless as Gutierrez cut him up into Turn 1 and broke Haryanto’s front wing, forcing an immediate pit stop. Then ran to the end on a set of softs which was a big challenge in itself, and there was no safety car to bring him back into contention.
