Raikkonen was not far from Vettel’s pace at any stage of this weekend but hampered himself with a mistake after his first pit stop. With Ricciardo struggling, Raikkonen was trying to catch a tow off the Red Bull on the run to the finish line but failed to notice Ricciardo pitting. The error saw Raikkonen have to cross the pit entry line, earning a five-second time penalty. Felt he lost too much time yielding to Vettel but didn’t quite have the speed to keep what was a very quick Force India at bay.
