Sergio Perez - 3rd place, 15 points - 9/10
Admittedly, Perez made it hard for himself by crashing in FP3 and picking up a five-place grid penalty for the resulting gearbox change, but he did not let the incident derail his impressive weekend. Fast throughout, an excellent start gained him two places immediately and Perez was soon fourth as Ricciardo faded. Held off Hamilton for a spell and then closed on Raikkonen, with the Finn facing a time penalty. Although the podium was already assured, it was a sign of both his pace, confidence and racer’s spirit when he took third place on track at the start of the final lap.
