Marcus Ericsson - 17th place - 6.5/10
A case of what might have been for Ericsson, who was in the mix for points at the start of the race. Following Magnussen in the first stint after a good qualifying performance, Ericsson felt he was the faster car and Sauber opted to pit on lap eight in an attempt to undercut the Renault as he was just 0.7s behind. The problem was, lap eight was far too early and Ericsson was soon stuck in traffic while the rest of the field ran at least another seven laps. His day was capped off by being held up by Wehrlein throughout a long final stint on softs, with the Manor on ultrasofts.
