Sergio Perez - 8th place, 4 points - 9/10
Another example of Perez’s excellent feel for the tyres, which was exploited by Force India as it gambled on strategy early on. Starting on ultrasofts back in 17th place after his grid penalty, Perez switched to softs on the end of the first lap as the safety car led the field through the pits. Emerged in 13th due to damage for other cars ahead of him, and then impressively executed what was effectively a one-stop strategy. It may not have yielded a spectacular result, but it was an excellent drive.
