Daniil Kvyat - 14th place - 6/10
Having followed his impressive performance in Singapore by out qualifying team-mate Sainz in Malaysia, Kvyat was hampered by an all-too-familiar problem this season as he suffered damage at the first corner. To be fair to him, the Russian was caught out by the concertina effect when Magnussen hit Gutierrez lightly and slowed on the apex, with Kvyat running into the back of the Renault. A new nose was required which left him down in 19th place after the opening VSC and in a car lacking the pace to recover.
