On a track not suited to the Honda-powered STR13, the soon to be promoted Gasly did the business. After just missing out on Q3, Pierre started outside of row 5 following the penalty to Bottas. Eighth after the turn one incident, he only lost position to the hard-charging Finn and never lost sight of the Haas’, despite not quite having the speed to pose a challenge, but it was another strong weekend for the 2019 Red Bull racer.
