Jenson Button - 12th place - 7/10
There are aspects of Button’s race which are deserving of a higher mark, but the 2009 world champion admits he made life difficult for himself with a poor opening lap. Felt he hadn’t prepared properly for the start and ended up being pushed off track by Marcus Ericsson, dropping him to last place at the end of lap one. Recovered well from there, reaching 15th before pit stops kicked in and running a strong middle stint on softs before a final 13 laps on supersofts allowed him to pass Alonso - who didn’t put up too much of a fight - and close on Grosjean.
