Max Verstappen - 7th place, 6 points - 7/10
Not Verstappen’s finest performance but perhaps a welcome quiet one after the controversy of a week ago. Was just the wrong side of a close battle in qualifying, starting behind Bottas and Ricciardo as all three were separated by just 0.023s, and then a bad start put him on the back foot. His car went into anti-stall, dropping him to 12th at the first corner and leaving Verstappen with an uphill battle for the rest of the race. Recovered well to secure seventh, with his pass on Sergio Perez a particular highlight as he caught the Force India out under braking for the Della Roggia chicane with five laps to go.
