Hamilton once again rues a comfortable Rosberg victory, which was all but secured by a poor start. The championship leader was stunning in qualifying to have a 0.5s margin over his team-mate, but it was rendered redundant on the opening lap as he crossed the line in sixth place. Passed Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas on track - the latter holding him up for long enough to drop him over 10s behind the leaders - and the Ferrari two-stop strategy ensured he had a clear run to second, but Hamilton didn’t have the pace advantage in race trim to close the gap to Rosberg.
