Romain was grinning from ear to ear after qualifying fifth on a set of softs and after getting his car sorted following FP3 where things just didn’t seem right. "One needed big balls…", retorted Grosjean when asked about the weather conditions. He too began Q3 on the green intermediates, before heading out for a one-lap flyer. In the race, his car's telemetry failed at the outset. He battled as best he could and would’ve finished higher had, according to him; Perez not passed him during the Virtual Safety Car period.
