Maurizio Arrivabene said after the race Raikkonen doesn’t like Monaco as a circuit, and it showed with his performance this weekend. Off the pace in qualifying, a grid penalty for a gearbox change left him starting 11th and with a tough race ahead. His race didn’t last long, with the first full flying lap after Jolyon Palmer’s crash seeing Raikkonen slide wide at Loews and break the front wing. Tried to limp on but had to retire with the wing stuck under the front wheels.
