Carlos Sainz - 8th place, 4 points - 8/10
Another good drive from Sainz, who was one of the drivers hurt most by a poor pit stop. Followed Perez in at the end of lap 21 but while the Force India emerged at the head of the Vettel/Alonso/Rosberg/Hulkenberg train, Sainz came out right at the back of it and lost out to Hulkenberg at the pit exit. From there he couldn’t use the full pace of the Toro Rosso and had to settle for eighth, but impressed with the way he built up his weekend to be competitive when it mattered and made no mistakes throughout every session.
