Sergio Perez - 11th place - 6/10
Perez put himself firmly on the back foot with a mistake in qualifying which left him 13th on the grid, with overtaking notoriously difficult at the Hungaroring. His recovery drive was a good one, even if a planned one-stop strategy using medium tyres had to be abandoned. When coming in to switch to softs for the final stint, a communication issue meant the team wasn’t ready for him and Perez dropped behind team-mate Hulkenberg int he fight for the final point.
