Max Verstappen - 5th place, 10 points - 8/10
Any chance of pole position went out the window when he failed to start his final Q3 lap before the chequered flag, but Verstappen believes he would have been unable to improve on fourth place due to yellow flags. Taken out of podium contention when he emerged behind Kimi Raikkonen at his first pit stop and couldn’t find a way past, but the roles were reversed in the final stint when Verstappen could again display his excellent race craft to hold off the much faster Ferrari. Perhaps fortunate to not be investigated for one defensive move which resulted in contact, but was the right side of robust throughout the closing laps.
