Nico Rosberg - 2nd place, 18 points - 8/10

Made the most of his opportunity in qualifying, snatching pole position despite encountering the double waved yellow flags which caused such controversy on Saturday night. However, Rosberg’s good work was undone by a poor start which dropped him to third at the first corner. Pulled a very good move on Daniel Ricciardo at Turn 2 to regain second - crucial at the time - and then shadowed Hamilton to the flag. Admitted his team-mate was being very conservative with his pace, but couldn’t get quite close enough to make a move at any stage.
