Jenson Button - DNF - 6/10
Just the one retirement from the race, and it could have come much, much sooner for Button. A brake sensor problem slowed him early on and he was then told not to change gear by his team, resulting in a drive-through penalty for unauthorised radio communications. Having already taken an early pit stop to discuss the issue, Button - who branded the radio regulations “pathetic” - was cut adrift at the back and had already predicted it would be a “race from hell” before he eventually retired with an oil leak.
