Jolyon Palmer - 12th place - 7.5/10
Palmer says he is “gutted” after this race, and it’s easy to understand why. Reliability issues hampered him on Friday but he was in good form on Saturday and practice suggested Q2 would be the target. Unlucky to be caught out by the final red flag which dumped him out in Q1, but Palmer was very impressive in the race and had just moved up to tenth place - chasing his first points - when he ruined all of the hard work with a spin at Turn 4 which dropped him behind the Force Indias. His best performance of the season undone by one mistake.
