Marcus Ericsson - 20th place - 4/10

Similar to Massa, Ericsson only has himself to blame for such a difficult weekend. Lost control on full wet tyres in Q1 and crashed heavily at Turn 10, resulting in the Swede needing a new chassis for the second consecutive race. The rebuild required a pit lane start, and with no safety cars he had to close a big gap in an uncompetitive car. The only saving grace was Sauber’s lack of pace meant his crash wasn’t too costly in terms of the possible final result.
