2016 Hungarian Grand Prix - Driver ratings

Motor Racing - Formula One World Championship - Hungarian Grand Prix - Race Day - Budapest, Hungary

Fernando Alonso - 7th place, 6 points - 8/10

Alonso showed seventh place to be the car’s pace all weekend as he duly finished every single session in P7 - FP1, FP2, FP3, qualifying and the race. A good start saw him get the better of Carlos Sainz and it was a crucial moment as the McLaren can struggle to overtake even on a track much easier to pass on than the Hungaroring. Raikkonen passed him relatively easily as Alonso picked his battles, and the only scare was a final warning for exceeding track limits which saw him take a more conservative approach in the closing stages.
