An encouraging Saturday again ends in disappointment for Raikkonen. Beat Vettel in qualifying and enjoyed a good start which jumped him ahead of Verstappen on the opening lap. His pace in the first stint was good, keeping in touch with Rosberg ahead, but once he switched to soft tyres Raikkonen struggled. Complaining of a lack of grip, the Finn fell into the clutches of his team-mate before a pit stop error saw him released with a wheel gun still attached and forced his retirement.
